Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive mandates that owners/operators of Cessna 206 aeroplanes fitted with plastic control wheels perform mandatory inspections by following Cessna Service Letters 62‑44 and 64‑8. It affects operators, maintenance organisations and engineers responsible for inspection and records.

Inspections must be done at the service‑letter intervals (including 100‑hour and 500‑hour schedules), with costs and downtime borne by owners; the AD delegates technical detail and corrective actions to the referenced service letters.
