AD/CESSNA 205/9 - Front Seat Restraint Installation - CANCELLED

What this does This document officially cancels a previous safety rule that required owners of Cessna 205 aircraft to install upper torso restraints (shoulder harnesses) in the front seats of planes certified before 1967.

Who it affects Owners and operators of Cessna 205 (210-5) series aeroplanes.

Why it matters This removes a model-specific maintenance requirement. The obligation to have proper seat restraints hasn't disappeared—it's just been moved into a general airworthiness directive (AD/GENERAL/74) that covers multiple aircraft types rather than listing every single plane model separately. This streamlines the rules so you don't need to check both a general standard and a specific Cessna 205 standard for the same safety equipment.
