Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this requires: If you own or operate a Cessna 205 series aircraft (also called the 210-5 series), you must install proper safety harnesses (seatbelts with shoulder straps) in the front seats.

How to comply: The harness must be installed following a technical plan (called a "scheme") that has been approved by the government authority responsible for aviation safety (the Secretary).

Who it affects: All owners and operators of Cessna 205 model aeroplanes.

Why it matters: This ensures pilots and front-seat passengers are properly restrained during turbulence or accidents, preventing serious injury by keeping them secured in their seats.
