Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of Cessna 205 (210-5) series aircraft to inspect for corrosion under the rivet heads that secure the aileron balance weight to the lower aileron skin. Suspect rivets must be lightly tapped to check for looseness and replaced if corroded or damaged. Inspections are required within 100 flight hours after 29 Sept 1972 and every 100 hours thereafter. It prevents balance-weight detachment that could impair roll control.
