Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of certain Cessna 205 (210-5) aircraft identified in Cessna Service Information Letter SE84-4 must install a cockpit placard reading: "Refer Flight Manual for special fuel/water drain procedures".

This mandatory reminder targets airplanes exposed to rain, snow, or drum-refueled fuel to prevent water-contaminated fuel causing engine failure. Installation is required before flying after 31 December 1985; a pilot may initially certify it, with a LAME to verify at the next inspection.
