AD/CESSNA 190/3 - Front Seat Restraint Installations - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (an Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of Cessna 190 and 195 series aircraft to install shoulder harnesses (upper body seatbelts) in the front seats.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 190 and 195 model aeroplanes.

What it does:

• Cancels the previous directive (originally issued in 1971) that mandated front seat restraint installations for these specific aircraft certified before 1967.
• Redirects operators to a broader, general safety directive (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) that now covers this requirement across multiple aircraft types rather than just these Cessna models.

Why it matters: It officially removes an outdated aircraft-specific requirement and confirms that compliance with the newer, consolidated standard is now sufficient. The cancellation took effect on 17 January 2008.
