Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Cessna 188/A188 Agwagons (serials before 188‑0318, excluding 17 listed serials) to retrofit the rudder stop exactly per Cessna Service Kit SK 188‑13/Service Letter 67‑53. The modification, due by 1 April 1968, fits physical stops to prevent rudder over‑travel — a mandatory airworthiness step to avoid control jamming, structural damage, and potential loss of control.
