Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of Cessna 188 (Agwagon) aeroplanes to carry out recurring magnetic‑particle inspections of the main spring legs (every 300 flight hours) to detect cracking, unless the aircraft is fitted with spring leg P/No. 1641007. It matters because it imposes recurring maintenance costs, potential downtime and repairs when cracks are found, and creates an incentive to fit the exempt part to avoid the inspection burden.
