Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is a mandatory safety instruction (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the aviation regulator for owners and operators of specific Cessna 188 agricultural aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners of Cessna 188 "Agwagon" series planes with serial numbers 0001 to 0229.

What you must do: You must immediately carry out safety work on the aileron controls (the hinged surfaces on the wings that make the plane roll left or right) following the exact instructions in Cessna Service Kit No. 188-6.

Why it matters: This directive fixes a specific safety defect in the control system. You must comply forthwith (immediately) before the aircraft can legally fly. Ignoring this makes the aircraft unairworthy and grounds it until fixed.
