Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Cessna 185s fitted with Goodyear BTC-39 fuel cells to carry out the work set out in Cessna Service Letter SE78-10 (first within 100 flight hours after 30 June 1978, then annually). It creates a recurring compliance obligation and costs (parts, labour, downtime) for operators and generates work for maintenance organisations, with implementation dependent on access to and correct application of the service letter.
