AD/CESSNA 180/50 - Elevator Control Travel - CANCELLED

What this is: This document formally cancels an old aircraft safety inspection rule for specific Cessna aeroplanes.

What it does:

• Cancels Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 180/50 effective 3 July 2008
• The original 1978 rule required owners to inspect the elevator "up travel" (how far the tail control surface moves upward) according to Cessna Service Letter SE 78-11
• Aircraft had to complete this inspection within 25 hours of flying time after 31 May 1978

Why it matters: Because the inspection deadline was 30 years ago, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority assumes all affected aircraft have long since been checked. This cancellation removes an obsolete rule from the books, meaning owners no longer need to track or comply with this specific directive.
