Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Civil Aviation Safety Authority airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of amphibian Cessna 180/182 and Wren 460 aircraft fitted with Scott nose‑wheel assemblies to retire specified nose‑wheel pivot bolts on an hours‑in‑service schedule (600‑hour recurring retirements, with a short transitional rule for bolts near 500 hours as of 31 Jan 1974). It forces recurring bolt replacement, shifting record‑keeping, parts and maintenance costs to operators to ensure continued airworthiness.
