Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Cessna 180, 182 and Wren 460 series aircraft used in the agricultural category to inspect the tailwheel steering bellcrank (P/N 0712309‑1) in the rear fuselage every 100 hours TIS for elongated pin holes and to replace it immediately if such wear is found. It prevents sudden loss of tailwheel steering—critical on rough unimproved airstrips used in ag operations.
