Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of certain Cessna 172RG aircraft (serials 172 RG 0001–0769) to replace the rudder trim/nose‑gear steering bungee (P/N 2467003-1) with a later-design part (P/N 2467003-6). Compliance timing depends on whether the aircraft shows compromised elevator control or on accumulated flight hours. According to the AD, the replacement is to prevent jack‑screw shaft failure. Aircraft operators bear the cost and responsibility for arranging and completing the part change to meet the stated deadlines.
