AD/CESSNA 150/50 - Rudder Limit Stops - CANCELLED

What this is: This document cancels a previous safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 150/50) that applied to specific Cessna aircraft models.

What it does: It officially cancels the Australian airworthiness directive that previously required inspections or modifications to rudder limit stops (safety devices that restrict how far the rudder can move) on these aircraft.

Why it matters: The rule is no longer needed because the United States aviation safety regulator (FAA) issued a replacement directive (FAA AD 2009-10-09 R1) that supersedes the Australian requirements. Under Australian aviation law (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Part 39), foreign airworthiness directives issued after 1 October 2009 automatically apply in Australia, making this separate Australian directive redundant.
