Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This is a mandatory safety directive requiring owners of specific Cessna 150 aircraft to inspect and repair how the engine attaches to the plane's frame.

Who it affects: Owners of specific Reims-manufactured Cessna 150 planes with these serial numbers:

FRA1500121 through FRA1500269
FRA1500273 through FRA1500276
FRA1500278 and FRA1500279

What you must do: Follow the instructions in Cessna Service Letter SE76-2 to check and fix the engine-to-mount attachment points.

Deadline: Complete the work within 200 hours of flight time after 31 May 1976.

Why it matters: Loose or failing engine mounts can cause the engine to separate from the airframe during flight, which is catastrophic.
