Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory CASA Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Cessna 150/152 series aircraft to replace the alternator field automatic-reset circuit breaker with a manual-reset breaker or same-rated fuse.

It prevents automatic re‑energising during faults (which can cause overheating or fire) so pilots must deliberately restore power. Compliance was required for new certificates issued after 31 Dec 1978 and within 100 flight hours for existing aircraft.
