AD/CESSNA 150/19 - Seat Frame - CANCELLED

What this is: This document cancels an old aircraft safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive) that required specific seat frame reinforcements on certain Cessna aeroplanes.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 150, F150, 152, and F152 series aircraft that had reclining seat backs moved further back for extra leg room.

What it does:

• Cancels directive AD/CESSNA 150/19 effective 14 February 2008
• Explains why: The original rule (from January 1971) required strengthening of seat bottom frames and seat back attachments. Because all affected aircraft would have made these repairs by now, the safety risk no longer exists, so the rule is no longer needed.

Why it matters: If you own one of these aircraft, you no longer need to comply with this specific seat frame reinforcement requirement because the directive has been formally cancelled by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
