Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This rule requires owners/operators of Cessna 150/152 (including F150/F152) to inspect rivets that attach the lower aileron skin to the balance weight for corrosion, remove suspect rivet heads with a light side strike, and replace any corroded or damaged rivets.

Inspections are due within 100 flight hours of 29 Sept 1972 and every 100 hours thereafter to prevent balance-weight detachment and hazardous aileron flutter.
