Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of CASA 212 aeroplanes to carry out recurring inspections of the previously installed power-lever slot protection and, where deterioration allows foreign objects into the power quadrant, to modify the quadrant per CASA SB 212-76-08. First inspection is required within 300 flight hours or three months after 15 Aug 1996, and repeats at those intervals until modified. It targets the risk of lever restriction/jamming; operators bear inspection/modification costs and face recurring maintenance until the mandated upgrade is done.
