Plain English Summary

This directive requires operators of all CAP 232 aircraft to follow Apex Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 020405 whenever the elevator control is disconnected or reconnected. It responds to an accident investigation that identified incorrect elevator control connection as the cause, and makes a specific maintenance procedure mandatory and recurring. Owners, operators and maintenance organisations must meet the compliance step and will bear the direct costs and procedural change needed to prevent the unsafe condition.
