Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

CASA requires owners/operators of all CAP 232 aircraft to carry out the corrective work described in APEX Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 010803 Revision 1 (20 Nov 2002). The work must be done at the next annual inspection after 20 Feb 2003 or by 31 Dec 2003, whichever is earlier. The directive responds to an in‑flight finding that aileron hinge rod‑end bearings lacked sufficient fatigue strength. Owners/operators must arrange and pay for the mandated inspections/repairs and schedule them within the compliance window.
