Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of BO 105 helicopters fitted with the specified tandem hydraulic unit/valve body types to perform the manufacturer’s functional test procedure (MBB Alert Service Bulletin ASB‑BO 105‑40‑102).

It addresses possible excessive wear in servo connecting components that could impair hydraulic switch‑over; it affects owners/operators and maintenance organisations, imposes a short compliance window, and creates immediate testing, repair costs and downtime.
