AD/BN-2/83 Amdt 1 - Horizontal Stabiliser Attachment Bolts

This Directive requires operators of Pilatus Britten‑Norman BN‑2 Islander aircraft (BN2, BN2A, BN2B, BN2T, BN2T‑4R, BN2T‑4S) to inspect horizontal stabiliser attachment bolts and anchor nuts per B‑N Group Service Bulletin No.302 (Issue 1 or 2) or a later EASA‑approved revision; installing Modification NB‑M‑1787 ends the inspection requirement. Inspections are due within 50 hours time‑in‑service or two months after 21 July 2004 and then every 1,000 hours TIS until the mod is fitted; the Civil Aviation Safety Authority issued the AD (effective 29 Sep 2005) after reports of loose bolts.
