Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Pilatus Britten‑Norman BN‑2 series Islander aircraft to inspect the throttle friction adjuster following Britten‑Norman Service Bulletin BN2/SB.272 Issue 2, replace hardware only if the inspection finds it necessary, and comply within 10 flight hours of the AD and then every 200 flight hours. It responds to a report of a loosened adjuster that broke a split pin and washer and affects maintenance scheduling, parts replacement decisions and operator compliance costs.
