Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of Pilatus Britten‑Norman BN‑2 series aeroplanes to convert any AIR83002 main undercarriage leg assemblies back to the original design standard using the Britten Norman and A.P. Precision Hydraulics Service Bulletins, with work completed by 1 June 1980.

It aims to reduce the risk of higher‑than‑normal landing loads being transmitted to the airframe; compliance imposes labour, parts and downtime costs and limits technical discretion to the prescribed bulletin procedures.
