Who it affects

Owners and operators of all models of the Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2 series aeroplanes (commonly known as the Islander).

What must be done

The aircraft must be modified according to the manufacturer's instructions in Britten-Norman Modification No. NB/M/350.

Deadline

The modification had to be completed before 16 May 1968.

Why this matters

The directive addresses a design issue with the fuel tank sump to prevent potential fuel contamination or system failures that could affect flight safety.
