Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Bell 47 series (and added Kawasaki‑Bell) helicopters to carry out the corrective work in the referenced Bell and Kawasaki‑Bell service bulletins to mitigate tail‑rotor hub bolt fatigue.

Compliance by the set deadlines (before 1 March 1976 for listed Bell models; before Certificate of Airworthiness issuance for Kawasaki‑Bell) is mandatory, and direct costs (parts, certified maintenance, and downtime) are borne by the operators.
