| Applicability: | Agusta-Bell Model 412 EP helicopters equipped with external rescue hoists with the following part numbers (P/N): |

| Requirement: | If not previously accomplished, carry out an inspection of the hoist cable cut electrical circuit and install a cable cut pyrotechnic cartridge. Both actions are to accomplished in accordance with Agusta Bollettino Tecnico 412-112 dated 7 November 2005. |

| Compliance: | Before further external hoist operation, but no later than 31 December 2005. |
| This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 21 December 2005. | |
| Background: | Agusta has received reports of inadvertent firing hoist cable cartridges. This Directive requires a one time inspection of the hoist cable cut electrical circuit for correct operation and allows the reinstallation of the cable cut pyrotechnic cartridge. |
