Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires inspection of the hydraulic servo actuator shoulder bolts on specific Bell 412 helicopters—where servos were overhauled or repaired by non‑HR Textron‑approved facilities—to detect possible unauthorised chrome plating, using Bell Service Bulletin ASB 412‑95‑86. Inspections must occur within 25 flight hours from 7 Dec 1995 or by 31 Jan 1996 (unless already done).

It affects listed aircraft owners/operators and their maintenance providers, shifting inspection and any repair costs and scheduling burden onto them.
