Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Bell 412-series helicopters with the listed main rotor mast and spline plate part numbers to carry out the actions in Bell Alert Service Bulletin 412‑94‑81 Rev A and to adopt explicit retirement lives: 10,000 flight hours or model-specific RIN limits (80,000 for 412/412SP; 60,000 for 412HP/412EP).

CASA mandates compliance within 100 flight hours from 27 April 1995 or by 27 August 1995, concentrating short-term maintenance, parts demand, and tracking burdens on operators.
