Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD orders owners and operators of Bell 412 helicopters to inspect and replace counterfeit emergency-float pressure gauges (P/N 212‑073‑905‑1) per Bell OSN‑GEN‑89‑14. Fake gauges have burst at about 2,000 PSI, risking severe injury during reservoir charging. Compliance is required by the earlier of the next Maintenance Release inspection after 28 Feb 1990 or before the next time the emergency float reservoir is charged.
