This was to be done according to a specific manufacturer bulletin (Alert SB 412-89-44).

Who is affected: Owners and operators of Bell 412 series helicopters. However, since the required action was a one-off task due over 20 years ago, most operators would have already completed it.

Why this matters: It removes an obsolete requirement from the rulebooks, reducing unnecessary paperwork and compliance burdens for helicopter operators.
