What this document does

This official notice cancels a previous safety inspection requirement for Bell 412 helicopters.

What was cancelled

Originally, owners and operators had to perform a one-time inspection of the main rotor yoke (part number 412-010-101-123) — the component that holds the rotor blades — within 100 hours of flight time after May 1985. The inspection followed guidelines in Alert Service Bulletin 412-85-19.

What happens now

As of 19 November 2009, helicopter operators no longer need to perform this specific inspection. The requirement has been permanently removed.
