Plain English Summary

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Bell 222, 222B, and 222U helicopters (serials listed in ASBs 222-85-35 and 222U-85-10) to inspect and repair the bolts securing the vertical fin to the tail boom within the short compliance windows. It responds to reports of loosening bolts whose failure could cause fin separation, loss of control, and a fatal accident.
