Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Bell 212 helicopters in specified serial ranges to urgently inspect and permanently fix a defect in the main-rotor pillow block.

The rule—starting with interim inspections then a manufacturer's permanent modification—addresses a loose retaining nut that could cause pillow-block failure and possible main-rotor separation; the amendment expands coverage to additional serial numbers.
