AD/BELL 206/70 Amdt 2 - Hydraulic Servo Actuator Support Assembly - Inspection

This is a mandatory safety instruction (Airworthiness Directive) for owners and operators of specific Bell 206 helicopters. It requires inspection and modification of a critical flight control component — the hydraulic servo actuator support assembly (a bracket that holds part of the helicopter's steering system).

What you must do:

Inspect the support assembly attachment every 100 flight hours until you complete the modification
Modify the attachment according to Bell's technical instructions (Service Bulletin 206-76-8 Rev. "A") before 31 December 1976

Which helicopters are affected: All Bell Helicopter Textron Canada (BHTC) 206 and Agusta Bell 206 series helicopters with specific serial numbers listed in the referenced technical documents.

Why this matters: This prevents failure of the hydraulic servo actuator attachment, which could lead to loss of flight control. The directive references equivalent safety notices from Agusta and earlier versions of this rule.
