| Background: | A Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigation into an accident has revealed that the Spindle repaired by Cadorath Aerospace Inc., failed during flight and resulted in loss of control of the helicopter. This Directive requires removal of all Spindles repaired by Cadorath Aerospace Inc.Amendment 1 required the same technical actions as the original issue of this Directive to be applied to Agusta Model 206 A and B series helicopters.Amendment 2 corrected the text of the compliance statement for Model AB 206 helicopters, with no change to the compliance time.Amendment 3 is issued in response to a revision of the related Transport Canada AD and a new EASA AD, which include Spindles repaired by HS Tools & Parts Inc. to the applicability. |
