Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of specified Bell 206L-1, 206L-3 and 206L-4 helicopters (see serial ranges) to have fuel drain tubes reworked per Bell Alert Service Bulletin 206L-96-103 Rev A so drained fuel cannot migrate into the fuel pump or starter‑generator seals, a reported fire hazard. CASA mandates compliance by 30 October 1996; operators/owners must arrange and pay for the rework and any downtime.
