Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This CASA airworthiness directive mandates inspections of the fan shaft assembly on certain Bell and Agusta‑Bell Model 206A/AB‑206A helicopters (serials listed in Bell Service Bulletin 206A‑9).

Operators must carry out the required initial checks per the AD’s timeframe and repeat inspections whenever fan drive shaft bearing hangers are removed or replaced, to prevent cooling‑system failures that could cause engine overheating or catastrophic damage.
