Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive bans dangerous counterfeit tail-rotor parts on Bell 206 helicopters, requiring owners/operators to inspect for and remove unlawfully manufactured tail rotor hub and yoke parts per Bell Alert Service Bulletins before any flight after 14 November 1989. It affects all Bell 206 models (expanding coverage from specific models) because unapproved parts can fail catastrophically and cause loss of control.
