Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This mandatory airworthiness directive requires operators of certain Bell 206 and 206L-series helicopters equipped with specific emergency water‑float kits to replace a small retaining cap (P/N 32652) in the float inflation valve because thread damage can prevent float inflation during a ditching.

Replacement must follow Bell Alert Service Bulletins: caps on actuated valves get replaced within the AD’s compliance window; unused valves are replaced at their next scheduled refurbishment — a critical safety fix to ensure floats inflate when needed.
