Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive mandates modification of certain Bell 206 and Agusta‑Bell AB206 helicopters’ fuel filter heads to automatically bleed trapped air that can cause sudden engine flame‑outs. It applies to specific 206/206L series airframes using listed fuel‑filter part numbers (including some retrofitted Michigan Dynamics filters on 206L). Operators must comply by following the stated Bell/Agusta service bulletins at the next filter change or within 300 flight hours after 31 Jan 1987, and no later than 31 Mar 1987.
