Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Bell 205 helicopters fitted with specified tail‑rotor blade grips to have those grips tested for minimum hardness or conductivity at a defined spot using approved or equivalent testers. Inspections on installed grips are mandatory before further flight and spares must be checked before installation. It’s an urgent, narrowly targeted safety test that shifts inspection costs, downtime and logistics onto operators and MROs.
