Mechanics had to check for staking marks (small indentations made during assembly) around each bearing face.

Why it's cancelled: The deadline to complete this inspection was 30 September 1989. By April 2009, every affected helicopter would have already been inspected. Since the work was done decades ago, the rule is now obsolete.

What happens now: The requirement no longer applies. Owners and operators of Bell 205 helicopters no longer need to comply with this specific directive.
