Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

Requires operators of all Bell 205 helicopters to fit specified emergency-exit decals, release-handle covers and spacers, add inspection openings and paint locking pins, and to perform six‑month and annual inspections under Bell service/technical documents. It matters because it legally compels hardware changes and recurring checks that alter maintenance work, parts needs and inspection schedules to ensure the emergency-exit mechanisms are inspected and operated per the manufacturer’s procedures.
