Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Bell Model 204B helicopters fitted with aluminium tail-rotor grips P/N 204-011-728-19 to remove from service a specific list of grip serial numbers. It is issued by the CASA delegate under CAR 1998 subregulation 39.1(1) and must be complied with before further flight. The directive aims to prevent tail-rotor grip failure and potential loss of control; the immediate compliance timing and replacement obligation create direct costs and operational disruption for affected operators.
