Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does: This is a mandatory safety rule for owners and operators of specific Beechcraft twin-engine aircraft (models 95, B95, B95A, D95A, and E95 with serial numbers TD-2 to TD-721).

What it requires: You must inspect two specific structural frames inside the aircraft body (called bulkheads, located at positions FS 257.6 and FS 271.92) for cracks. These frames support the connection points for the horizontal tail surfaces (the stabilator).

When to inspect:

First check: Within 100 hours of flying time after 30 April 1979
Repeat checks: Every 500 flying hours or every 12 months, whichever happens first

Why it matters: Cracks can develop in these bulkheads around the tail attachment points due to stress. If left unchecked, this could compromise the aircraft's structure and affect flight safety.

How to comply: Follow the inspection procedures outlined in Beechcraft Service Instruction No 0990.
