Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This is a safety rule for specific Beechcraft Travelair aeroplanes (models D95A and E95 with serial numbers TD-534 to TD-721).

What it requires: Owners must inspect or maintain the soundproofing blanket on the hatshelf (the shelf area at the rear of the cabin, behind the passenger seats) following the manufacturer's instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0694-311, Revision 1.

How often: The work must be carried out at least every 100 hours of flight time.

Why it matters: This prevents the soundproofing material from becoming a safety hazard—such as interfering with flight controls, blocking ventilation, or creating a fire risk.
