Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Beechcraft 95 (Travelair) aeroplanes with non‑reinforced plastic control wheels to visually inspect those wheels for cracking every 100 hours’ time in service (from 1 Sept 1971) and to replace any cracked wheel with a serviceable item before further flight. It recommends—but does not require—fitting metal‑reinforced replacement wheels. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority issued the measure; operators and maintenance providers bear inspection and replacement costs.
